APPteczka

Medication organizer for Android and iPhone

Medications on time, no guesswork

APPteczka reminds you of every dose, keeps an eye on stock and expiry dates and recognizes a medication from the code on its box. For you, your children and the loved ones you share a medicine cabinet with.

  • Free to start
  • No ads
  • Android 8.0+
  • iPhone and iPad with iOS 15+

8:00 · morning

A reminder for every dose

You mark a dose as taken with a single tap, even straight from the notification.

  • Several times a day, chosen days of the week, half a tablet too
  • Dose not marked? A second reminder an hour later
  • Reminders are scheduled by the phone, so they work offline

A new box from the pharmacy

Scan the code on the pack

APPteczka finds the medication in the public medicines database of your cabinet’s country (Poland or Italy) and, when the box has a Data Matrix code, also reads the expiry date.

  • Name, strength and form fill themselves in
  • Food supplements: suggested by name in Poland, looked up by barcode in Open Food Facts
  • The package leaflet and a photo of the pack at hand
Cabinet screen: medications with dose times, categories and a stock bar; under Bisocard, “Take from: expires 12/2026”

Several packs, different expiry dates

Every box has its own expiry date

You take from the pack that expires first, and APPteczka tells you when stock is running low or a pack has expired.

  • Your stock is the total of your boxes, with a forecast of how long it will last
  • A notification when a pack has expired
  • A warning when a medication is running low
Packs of one medication: a box marked “Take from this one” that expires 12/2026, another that expires 09/2027, and stock that lasts until 22 November

One family, two homes

A medicine cabinet shared with your family

Everyone has their own plan and reminders, and you can see whether your loved ones have taken today’s doses, without calling to ask.

  • Invite with a QR code or a link; people join once approved
  • Mum lives on her own? Her medications stay hers, and you see her plan for today
  • Family is included in the free plan
Family screen: a child profile with dose progress 2/3 and the “Start a family group” card with the “Create a family” and “I have an invitation — join” buttons

20:00 · the children’s medications

A child profile, no account needed

A parent manages the medication plan, and each parent can get the reminders.

  • Each parent turns on reminders on their own phone
  • A “Child’s plan” widget on the Home Screen
  • Child profiles are included in the free plan
Child profile: today’s doses 2/3, the child’s medications and the “Remind me about Zosia’s doses” switch

Widget and history

Today’s plan on your Home Screen

The “Today’s plan” widget shows today’s doses without opening the app, and you mark a dose with a single tap. Children get a separate widget, “Child’s plan”.

  • Overdue doses stand out straight away, and the counter in the corner tells you how much of today’s plan is done.
  • Several sizes and, on Android, a dark appearance too.
  • Works on Android 8.0+ and on iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

A history that shows your consistency

A month calendar, the share of doses taken in the last 7 days and your streak of complete days. Marked a dose late? Fix it: touch and hold it in History and mark it as taken at the right time or as skipped, or undo the mark.

You buy Premium in the app, through Google Play or the App Store, and you manage the subscription there too. Privacy

Your medications are yours alone

It’s a health app, so we’re straightforward about data.

App data (medications, doses, photos, child profiles) is stored on a server in Warsaw, Poland (OVH), and is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

  • No ads, no analytics

There are no ads and no analytics tools in the app. We don’t sell data.

  • An account and explicit consent

The app works with an account: Google, Apple, or email and password. We store health data only with your explicit consent. You must be at least 16 to create an account.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

Yes. Your account keeps your medicine cabinet safe: if you switch phones, just sign in and everything comes back. You can sign in with Google, with Apple (on iPhone and iPad) or with email and password; in that case, we send a verification code to that address when you create the account.

Does APPteczka work offline?

Reminders, the widget and today’s plan work without a connection: the phone itself schedules the alerts, and your cabinet is stored on the phone too. You need the internet to sign in, to use the scanner and medicines database suggestions, and to sync between devices.

How much does it cost?

The free plan has no time limit: 5 medications in the cabinet and 3 medications with schedules, family and child profiles included. Premium removes the limits: €2.99 a month, €19.99 a year (the first 14 days are free) or €49.99 once; in Poland PLN 9.99, PLN 49.99 and PLN 169.99. One payment covers the whole family.

What happens when Premium ends?

No medication disappears. Those over the free plan limit are locked, and their reminders are paused until you renew Premium. Medications within the limit work as usual, and you choose which ones they are.

Where does the medication information come from?

From the public medicines database of the country set for your cabinet, which you choose in your profile. For Poland, it’s the Register of Medicinal Products: names, strength, pharmaceutical form and the official package leaflets; food supplement names come from the register of the Polish Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS). For Italy, it’s the open data of AIFA, the Italian medicines agency, and food supplements are looked up by barcode in Open Food Facts. Databases for other countries are not available yet.

What can my family members see?

Every family member sees your name, avatar colour and email address, plus your plan for today: the medications on your schedule, their times and whether today’s dose has been marked. They don’t see your history from previous days. In a shared cabinet, family members also see all the medications, stock, photos of the packs and child profiles.

How do I manage my child’s medications?

Add a child profile in the Family tab: your child doesn’t need an account. The profile is meant for children under 16. With the first profile, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian and give separate consent for your child’s health data. Each parent turns on reminders for the child’s doses on their own phone.

Which phones does APPteczka work on?

Android 8.0 or later, and iPhone and iPad with iOS 15 or later. Widgets need Android 8.0+ or iOS 17+. The app is available in English, Polish, Italian, Spanish and French; you choose the language in your profile.

Is my data safe?

We keep the data on our server in Warsaw, the connection is encrypted and passwords are stored only as a hash. There are no ads and no analytics tools. You can download all your data or delete your account at any time.

Does APPteczka replace my doctor?

No. APPteczka is a medication organizer — it is not a medical device and does not replace advice from a doctor or pharmacist. It doesn’t diagnose anything and doesn’t set doses.
